(2022 APP) What Is Starry for Cash?

Starry for Cash

Starry for Cash Review and Overview

If you’re here to read my Starry for Cash review, you’re probably familiar with this bizarre new trend sweeping the Apple and Android app stores. Basically, you play a very simple game via an app, you have to watch a LOT of ads and sponsored videos between gameplay, and hypothetically you receive a payout from the app’s developer.

Let me tell you, when I heard that people were being offered money to play games on their phones, my ears perked right up. Who doesn’t spend way more time playing “useless” mobile games when they could be working to make an income?

So I’m sure you find this idea very intriguing and tempting, just like me. But you, like me, are also aware just how many scams are out there these days. Today, I’ll explain what Starry for Cash is, how to play, how you earn money, and finally whether or not it’s actually legit. Let’s do it!

What is Starry for Cash?

Starry for Cash is an app in the Android (aka Google Play) store. The idea with this specific app is that you earn digital currency simply by maintaining your digital in-app money tree.

It sounds like a Tamagotchi that pays you, right? You’ll even see plenty of banners in the app saying just how close you are to being rich. They play on your FOMO (fear of missing out) by making you feel like if you don’t keep playing, you’ll never get to the big bucks. But I’ll touch more on that later.

The important thing to remember is that Starry for Cash is an app, not a physical product or Tamagotchi-like toy, and it doesn’t cost anything to download. You don’t need any special skills or experience to use it, and anyone with a smartphone can give it a try.

As your “tree” grows, your digital currency will convert into PayPal money, and you can only transfer into your PayPal account once you hit a certain threshold. At the time of writing, the threshold is $10. For example, if you earned $8, you wouldn’t be able to collect any of it until you’ve reached more than $10. You have to have at least $10 every time you want a payout transfer.

To be clear, this “game” is not much fun. You press one or two buttons, you watch a boatload of ads, and that’s about it. The only drive for anybody to play this “game” (if you can even call it that) is the promise of easy money.

How to Play Starry for Cash

Starry for Cash

To get started with Starry for Cash, simply download the app from Google Play (it's not available in the Apple App Store). Once it's installed, open the app and create an account. You'll need to provide your name, email address, and a password. You can also choose to link your Facebook account if you'd like.

After you've registered and logged in, you'll be taken to the main game screen. Here, you'll see your digital tree in the middle of the screen. You'll also have buttons to "water" or "add fertilizer" to your tree. Clicking these buttons will help your tree grow faster, and give you money faster.

To collect money, just tap on the tree a whole bunch. You'll collect green cash bills to fill the bar at the top, turning it from blue to pink. There are milestones along the bar with the PayPal logo. Once you reach a milestone, you'll get a pop-up notification and a small payout of digital currency.

To actually collect the money and add it to your total in-app balance, you have to press the "Get" button and watch the advertisement video all the way through. This is a very common way for apps to force their players to watch ads, though it is annoying. And occasionally, the video isn't available in your region... but there's no workaround. You just can't access that portion of your reward if you can't watch the ad they choose.

You'll notice 2 types of currency listed at the top of your screen; one is in-game currency and the other is real PayPal money. The in-game currency can only be used for upgrading your tree and speeding up your PayPal money collection process-- there's no way to convert them into real PayPal money.

Once you do have enough to level up your tree, go ahead and do so. There's no other purpose for the in-game currency. To upgrade your tree, just click on the "Upgrade" button on the main game screen. Here, you can choose to spend your in-game currency on one of three different upgrades:
- A bigger tree: This will increase the size of your tree, making it easier to tap and collect money.
- A faster tree: This will make your tree grow and produce money faster.
- A stronger tree: This will make your tree resistant to wilting, so you won't have to water it as often.

Each upgrade costs a different amount of in-game currency, so choose wisely! You can always save up and buy all three upgrades eventually, but it'll take some time.

Referral Rewards

Starry for Cash has a referral system where you can earn a little extra money. To get your referral link, just go to the “Refer & Earn” tab on the main game screen. Here, you’ll see your unique link that you can share with friends or family members who also want to try out the app.

For every person who signs up using your link and reaches the $10 payout threshold, you’ll get credit for the referral– and not a moment before. You get only $5 for every 100 referrals, meaning you need to convince 100 people to play this game to the $10 threshold before you get any referral money.

It’s not a ton of money, but it’s something… and it doesn’t take much effort on your part to get people to sign up. Just post your link on social media or send it over email, and you’re good to go. But according to other Starry for Cash reviews, none of us ever received our referral payouts.

How Can You Earn Money in Starry for Cash?

Money in Starry

The only way to earn money in Starry for Cash is by completing referrals, playing the game, and watching advertisements. There's no other way to get PayPal money from this app.

You can, however, use the in-game currency to upgrade your tree. Upgrading your tree will help you collect PayPal money faster, as it'll help you reach the payout threshold quicker.

High Payouts

Starry for Cash reviews mention that the app will also frequently advertise their high payout special offers. They tell you that you can earn over $1,000 in just a short half hour... or less! The catch? Once you complete their directives and press the Cash Out button, you'll have to watch a lot of advertisement videos.

And I mean a LOT

For $1,000, you have to watch over 600 videos. It's about half that for $500. And while letting a bunch of ads play on your phone while you do other stuff for a few hundred bucks sounds easy, I was never able to actually get the payout... even after watching the ads!

Is Starry for Cash Legit or Not?

Starry for Cash is not legit! Here’s the long and short of my Starry for Cash review… It is a scam. I could not find a single person who’s actually been paid more than– literally– one US penny.

I’m thinking this is how they hook you in. They pay you the real penny, which convinces you they have the means to pay you more real money. You believe that by watching their ads and following their instructions, you’ll get paid.

But it’s just not true. I tried the high payout options, the referral method, and even just playing regularly… but I and other reviewers never got more than a single penny. This is clearly just a scam by an unsavory affiliate marketer! They trick you into watching hundreds and hundreds of their ads, which puts money into their pocket… but you will never see any of it.

Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is… and Starry for Cash not only sounds too good to be true, but is known to never pay what they owe you. Stay away from this one.
