Luminesce Skin Care by Jeunesse Global: Does it Work? Is It Worth the Price?
If you’ve ever watched a TV show or movie featuring people with perfect skin, you may have wondered how they achieved it. Some of them might be actors and actresses who put on makeup to look that way, but others could be using luminesce.
Jeunesse Global claims its line of luminesce products renews, repairs and cleanses your skin while giving it a youthful and radiant glow. Luminesce has also been touted as having anti-aging properties because the ingredients are said to reduce inflammation in the body.
But does luminesce really work? Is luminesce worth the price? What are luminesce alternatives? After doing some research, I found out more about luminesce and wanted to share my findings with you.

The company also offers a line of luminessence products that are said to improve the look and feel of your hair. The luminessence products are luminesce shampoo, luminesce hair conditioner and luminesce hair spray.
These luminessence shampoos include a variety of different formulas that cater to most people’s needs from dry or oily scalps to color-treated or thinning strands.
Jeunesse Global has also released their own line of luminessence hair care products that include luminesce shine serum, luminesce volumizing powder foam and luminesce styling mousse.
Luminessence Shine Serum is a water-based gel formula that refreshes your style while giving you the appearance of more body. Luminessence Volumizing Powder Foam provides a light, airy volume to the hair without weighing it down. Luminessence Styling Mousse is an easy-to-work styling foam that delivers flexible hold and light texture.
Jeunesse Global luminesce shampoo and conditioner are said to work in tandem with each other for a healthy scalp environment which helps promote more radiant looking hair.
Who created Jeunesse Global’s luminesce products?
This luminesce family of products is manufactured in the United States and was created by Dr. Nathan Newman. Newman joined Jeunesse Global in 2009 as the Chief Scientific Officer and is credited with designing luminesce.
What are the active ingredients in luminesce?
Luminesce contains a proprietary blend of luminescing peptides, natural botanical extracts and essential oils that work together to create the luminescence in the skin.

Some disadvantages of luminesce are the high price, and its inability to completely remove wrinkles and fine lines.
It also can’t be used for sun protection.
Most luminesce reviews on Amazon have only given it two stars out of five with some being negative about how expensive luminesce is or that the reviewers didn’t see such dramatic results as promised in the luminesce reviews.
Many luminesce reviews state luminesce causes irritation, and some say it leaves their skin feeling tight. One woman said luminesces cream caused her to have a red face for two hours after she applied the product.
There is no definite answer to whether luminesce works. It just depends on your skin type and the amount of time you spend using luminesce.
Research shows that luminesce does work, but there are other alternatives to luminesce such as oil serums or retinol which can be found at a more affordable cost.
Is it worth the price?
Luminesce does not come cheap, so for some people the price is too high. For others, luminesce can be worth it if you’re looking to achieve a completely different skin tone or diminish wrinkles and other signs of aging.

Luminesce is not the only option out there when it comes to anti-aging products. Some of the anti-aging alternatives are less expensive and equally as effective. These are products such as derma e age defy, dermalogica lumaphor and tarte maracuja oil.
Derma e age defy has many of the ingredients as luminesce, and it’s one-third the price. Tarte marcuja oil is a cheaper alternative to luminesce because it only takes two drops, whereas luminesce requires three. Dermalogica lumaphor is also less expensive than luminesce and contains many of the same ingredients with some added benefits for wrinkles and skin tone discoloration.
